Background
Oscar Award winning stop motion studio LAIKA was in the midst of producing their latest film Wildwood. The stop motion process for making a major motion film takes several years to complete and requires hundreds of personnel on set and behind the scenes.
Challenge
The production of Wildwood was running behind schedule partially due to not having enough or the correct people in certain verticals within the company, they needed to hire and they needed to hire fast. Creating video employee snapshots was the task at hand.
The internal marketing team at LAIKA was already overwhelmed with creating marketing material for the film and needed to look outside the company for help…a task which they had never done before for a project of this magnitude.
Solution
LAIKA’s internal marketing team reached out to Little Rumble to create a series of 6 videos highlighting 6 employees during their day to day. The videos were to be educational, personal, approachable, on-brand, and cinematic. Little Rumble collaborated with LAIKA during the whole process including:
- 8 weeks of ideation, strategy, script development
- 2 weeks of shooting - 7 person crew
- 3-5 months of editing, motion graphics and color grading
